Celebrating seven decades of Yamaha racing success, the 2026 Yamaha R7 70th Anniversary Edition combines iconic heritage styling with lightweight supersport performance. Finished in the exclusive 70th Anniversary white and red speed block livery inspired by Yamaha's legendary Grand Prix machines, this special edition stands out with race-inspired looks while retaining the everyday usability that has made the R7 one of the most popular middleweight sports bikes.


Powered by Yamaha's proven 689cc CP2 parallel-twin engine with a 270-degree crossplane crankshaft, the R7 produces 72.4 hp (54 kW) at 8,750 rpm and 67 Nm of torque at 6,500 rpm, delivering strong mid-range acceleration and an engaging riding experience. With a 16.5-litre fuel tank, fuel economy of approximately 67 mpg (UK), a 835 mm seat height, and a wet weight of just 188 kg, the R7 offers an ideal balance of performance, comfort and agility for both road riding and occasional track days.


Built around a lightweight chassis, the R7 features fully adjustable 41 mm KYB upside-down forks, a linked rear monoshock, powerful radial-mounted front brake calipers with ABS, and lightweight cast aluminium wheels for precise handling and confidence through every corner. A slip-and-assist clutch reduces lever effort while improving stability during aggressive downshifts, and the aerodynamic bodywork, LED lighting and LCD instrumentation complete its modern supersport design.
