Powered by a thrilling 1,043cc, liquid-cooled, four-stroke, DOHC, 16-valve inline-four engine, it produces an impressive 142 PS (140 bhp) at 10,000 rpm and 111 Nm of torque at 8,000 rpm, delivering exhilarating acceleration alongside smooth, accessible power throughout the rev range. Paired with a six-speed gearbox, bi-directional Kawasaki Quick Shifter (KQS) and assist-and-slipper clutch, gear changes are effortless and precise. The advanced Kawasaki Intelligent Anti-lock Brake System (KIBS), Kawasaki Traction Control (KTRC), Kawasaki Cornering Management Function (KCMF), selectable power modes and integrated riding modes provide enhanced control, confidence and stability in a variety of riding conditions. Electronic cruise control adds comfort on longer journeys, while the fully adjustable 41mm inverted front forks and horizontal back-link rear suspension deliver excellent handling and ride quality. The Ninja's striking aerodynamic bodywork incorporates full LED lighting, a four-position adjustable windscreen and redesigned, more comfortable rider and pillion seats. Inside the cockpit, a 4.3-inch full-colour TFT display provides clear instrumentation, smartphone connectivity through Kawasaki's Rideology app and an integrated Economical Riding Indicator. Further practical features include an 19-litre fuel tank, aluminium twin-tube frame, 17-inch alloy wheels and the option of integrated touring panniers. With a seat height of 835mm, a wheelbase of 1,440mm and a kerb weight of approximately 235kg, the Ninja 1000SX strikes an outstanding balance between sporting agility and touring practicality.
